What Is Judo?
Judo is a complete system of martial arts that mainly focusses on throws and takedowns. Judo is practiced in a uniform called a Gi, which can also be used as a training tool for throws. This translates well to self defence as you not only learn how to defend with standard throws, but also throws that utilise your opponents clothes as well. In Judo, you will also learn basic striking, as well as controls on the ground, including pins and submissions.
