Writer's picture: Michael WoodwardMichael Woodward

A few updates as we already roll in to the second month of 2025!

Muay Thai pad work at Ascend Martial Arts

Minor Timetable Changes

There will be a few minor timetable changes moving into Feb. Firstly, Monday night Muay Thai is going to become a new style of class which will consist of 20 minutes of pads, 20 minutes of clinching and then 20 minutes of sparring. The 30 minutes of sparring after will be removed on Monday. Also, due to low attendance, Friday night HIIT and BJJ will be cancelled for a while. These classes may come back with popular demand in the future.

January's Competition Winner - It wasn't even close....

To probably no one's surprise, Ricco took out the prize for most check ins in January. Congratulations Ricco on winning your FightHQ voucher.

This month we're bringing back an old challenge - Most skipping double unders in a row. The rules for this one are that counting starts from your first double under and continues until you fail. You can have as many attempts as you like. Prize will be yet another FightHQ gift card.
